How it works

Your daily choices build a personalised biological balance

Your Biological Pension Pot turns choices you describe into motivational Bio Credits. The AI considers what happened today, classifies the entry, and explains the result. The application—not the AI—then calculates the final numerical score using the rules below.

Every pot starts here

1,000 Bio Credits

Deposits increase this balance and withdrawals reduce it. Bio Credits are not money, a medical measurement or a judgement of your health. They are a motivational way to notice patterns, recognise progress and reflect on everyday choices.

The assessment process

From your description to a Bio Credit score

Step 1

Describe today's choices

Enter something you completed, a goal you missed, or several distinct choices from the current day. Each submitted entry becomes one transaction.

Step 2

Classify the base value

The AI identifies a deposit, withdrawal or neutral result and selects a level based on the ordinary general value of what the entry describes.

Step 3

Consider relevant context

For deposits, the system can recognise when an action required greater effort because of relevant onboarding information or a permitted daily check-in from that day.

Step 4

Calculate and explain

The application converts the classifications into points, applies any permitted adjustment, and displays an explanation and a practical personalised tip before you save it.

Deposit base scores

Completed positive choices

A single activity is scored separately from several distinct activities. One activity cannot receive a multiple-activity level simply because it was long or intense.

Brief worthwhile action

For example, a short movement break.

+1

One light action

For example, a typical 10-to-20-minute walk.

+2

One meaningful ordinary action

A completed everyday activity or supportive daily routine.

+3

Several light actions

For example, a short walk and a short cycle completed today.

+4

One substantial action

For example, completing a 10-kilometre run.

+5

Multiple meaningful actions

Several distinct and meaningful positive choices today.

+6

Multiple substantial actions

For example, a 10-kilometre run and a one-hour boxing session.

+8

Several exceptional actions

Reserved for several distinct and genuinely substantial actions.

+10

Withdrawal base scores

Missed intentions and less-supportive choices

Withdrawals reflect what the entry actually says. The system does not invent missed goals from your profile, and appropriate rest or recovery is not treated as a withdrawal.

One minor missed intention

One relatively small intended choice was not completed.

−1

One significant planned goal

One clear and important intention was missed today.

−2

Two distinct planned goals

Two clearly separate intentions were missed.

−3

Several relatively minor intentions

A group of smaller intended choices was missed.

−4

Three significant goals

Three distinct goals within one or two lifestyle categories were missed.

−5

Several clear intentions

Several distinct and meaningful planned choices were missed.

−6

Numerous significant intentions

A larger group of significant planned choices was missed.

−8

Exceptional multiple withdrawal

An unusually large number of clearly stated intentions was missed across several categories.

−10

Personalised effort

Relevant effort can add 1 or 2 credits

A deposit can receive no adjustment, a +1 adjustment for noticeably greater effort, or a +2 adjustment for meaningfully greater effort. This uses relevant functional information from your profile and today's check-ins.

A diagnosis by itself does not create extra credit. The system looks for a clear connection between the circumstances described and the effort required. It does not reward ignoring serious symptoms, pain or professional restrictions.

Overall balance

One accompanying choice can adjust a deposit by −1

If an entry combines a completed positive action with one clearly less-supportive accompanying choice, the positive action can remain a deposit with one small −1 adjustment. The less-supportive choice does not erase the completed activity.

For example, a 15-minute walk followed by two slices of cake would normally retain the walk's deposit while receiving the single balancing adjustment. The feedback may suggest a balanced meal or snack next, without calorie counting, food labelling or compensatory exercise. Safeguards prevent this adjustment where the personal context makes it inappropriate.

Final calculation

Base score + contextual effort − any balancing adjustment

Deposit scores are kept between 0 and 10 credits. Contextual effort is not added to withdrawals, and difficult circumstances do not make a withdrawal larger. A neutral or clarification result is worth 0 credits and does not alter the balance.

The system may ask for clarification when an entry is unclear, hypothetical, covers more than today, contains unrelated material, or combines positive and negative choices that are too complex to score fairly as one transaction.

Progress, not perfection

One difficult day should not define your balance. The system is intended to encourage consistency over time while recognising that rest, recovery, flexibility and occasional treats can all form part of a balanced lifestyle. It does not provide medical advice and should not be used to make healthcare or other important decisions.

Isabel Farr is the founder of Phoenix Rising Fitness & Wellbeing and Founder and Director of Better Health Mind & Body CIC. Driven by her belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live well for longer, Issy has created and led free, fully funded physical activity courses that have supported more than 475 people across her local community.

Her approach extends far beyond exercise: she helps people rebuild their confidence, rediscover what their bodies can do and feel genuinely seen, safe and supported. Teddy Farr

Creator & Digital Lead

Teddy Farr created and launched this website during the summer after completing his A-levels, while awaiting his results and preparing to begin university in September. Having grown up alongside his mother Issy’s journey, Teddy has witnessed first-hand the extraordinary difference that encouragement, education and a supportive community can make to people’s lives.

An accomplished amateur boxer with three competitive wins—including one by knockout—he understands the discipline, resilience and consistency required to succeed. Teddy is a firm believer in self-investment and has developed the maturity to recognise early that health truly is wealth.

He has also seen how many people struggle to take that first step because they lack motivation, confidence or belief in themselves. This website is his response: an innovative creation designed to help people get started, stay motivated and realise that meaningful change is possible.
